My first exposure to fractals came when I saw some amazing images that a friend, Will Engdahl, had at a mineral symposium in the 1990's. I was immediately struck by these incredible images as he explained how he had created them using a software program on his computer. I was absolutely fascinated with the beauty of these images, and that initial exposure started me on a search about fractals that grew into a passion for this art form, and into creating this website.
The fractals in this gallery were not the ones I first saw, but ones Will chose to display here. Will created the fractals in this gallery using the fractal program Fractint, one of the first fractal programs which was DOS based. Sadly, Will has since passed away, but these fractals are my homage to Will.
