My first exposure to fractals came when I saw some amazing images that a friend, Will Engdahl, had at a mineral symposium. I was immediately struck by these incredible images as he explained how he had created them using a software program on his computer. I was absolutely fascinated with the beauty of these images, and that initial exposure started me on a search about fractals that has now grown into this website.
The fractals in this gallery were not the ones I first saw, but ones Will chose to display here. Will created the fractals in this gallery using the fractal program Fractint, one of the first fractal programs which was DOS based. To view a larger image, click on the thumbnail image.
